June 13, 2011 The first report of an independent replication This could the final nail in the coffin of Cold Fusion sceptics.  The ‘Arata’ experiments referred to in this story are of earlier, but very similar Japanese experiments that also produced excess heat. Rossi’s reaction upon hearing this news was that he expected his Patent application provided enough details for others to repeat it, but he thinks it unlikely they will scale to his power levels so easily (he has spent years refining his machine).
