© Charles Moir 2011 Where can I find more information? The main Rossi website is The Journal of Nuclear Physics This publishes technical papers not just on his device, but various third party research papers. Apart from the very technical papers, a lot of information can be found in the comments section at end of each article, where Rossi himself answers questions. A chief NASA scientist has recently said of Cold Fusion; “I think we are almost over the “we do not understand it” problem. I think we are almost over the “this does not produce anything useful” problem. I think this will go forward fairly rapidly now. If it does, this is capable of, by itself, completely changing geo-economics, geo-politics, and solving climate issues.” Read about it here. The Wikipedia article on the Rossi Reactor. There are furious behind the scenes arguments going on at Wikipedia and I can’t warrant that the article will remain. There are some spectacularly small mischievous or misguided (to be polite) trying to argue that because, in their mind, ‘it’s impossible’ they are continually trying to re- write or even have the entry removed altogether (they have successfully removed the Italian version). They probably don’t realise that one of the main advocates writing much of the article is none other than the Nobel physicist Brian Josephson. Last time I checked it provided a reasonably neutral summary of the facts. The Rossi USA Patent application. This is a pretty poor quality patent in my view (I’ve read a great many). It reads like a poor translation from Italian, which it probably is. I can’t see this patent being accepted in it present state. Swedish Skeptics Confirm "Nuclear Process" in Tiny 4.7 kW Reactor I recently discovered this great article by Thomas Blakeslee, an inventor, entrepreneur, and writer that has many parallels with this website. A knowledgeable experienced engineer and sceptic who, like me, has had to re-evaluate what he previously thought impossible. He even links ‘GroupThink’ as a prime cause of the mass (but mistaken) view that Cold Fusion didn’t work. NyTeknik report - a respected, established Swedish technology publication A report on the two Swedish physicist examination of the device. One of them was chairman of the board of the Swedish Sceptics society. (These are devoted to debunking bad, fake and pseudo-science). This is their actual report. (PDF file) A quote from their summary: “Any chemical process for producing 25 kWh from any fuel in a 50 cm3 container can be ruled out. The only alternative explanation is that there is some kind of a nuclear process that gives rise to the measured energy production. A 2009 dissertation by Grant Pownall  (PDF file) A Dissertation on why Cold Fusion has been rejected by mainstream science. It’s long, very detailed, well researched paper. A great read, well told, with linked references for every point. He doesn’t mince his words. A quote from the summary: “The neglect of cold fusion research is mostly due to the deliberate efforts led by the high-energy physics community to exclude cold fusion from science and cold fusion researchers from the scientific community. This demarcation has been four pronged. First, the critics discredited cold fusion and its researchers publicly with ad hominem attacks and doubts about Pons and Fleischmann competence and sanity. The critics backed up these attacks with dubious experiments, lies, misrepresentation and deception. Prong two was to undermine funding for cold fusion research using the DoE report and to ensure that those scientists concerned with their reputations, would steer clear of cold fusion research. The third prong was to reject patents for cold fusion inventions at the US patent office. The final prong was to exclude cold fusion papers from the majority of mainstream peer-reviewed journals” Julian Schwinger, Nobel laureate for Physics. Regarded by many as one of the greatest 20th century physicists. This is a summary of his life’s achievements. Page 39 describes his Cold Fusion adventures. “It was a shock to most physicists when Schwinger began speaking and writing about cold fusion, suggesting that the experiments of Pons and Fleischmann were valid.” The U.S Defence Intelligence Agency (PDF file) A fairly recent (before Rossi though) review of the gaining acceptance of Cold Fusion. A great summary of many of the successful Cold Fusion research up to 2009. A quotes from the summary: “If nuclear reactions in LENR experiments are real and controllable, DIA assesses that whoever produces the first commercialized LENR power source could revolutionize energy production and storage for the future. The potential applications of this phenomenon, if commercialized, are unlimited.” Dr. Eugene Mallove  - a special report (PDF file) Dr. Mallove worked at MIT when the Pons & Fleischmann announcements happened and witnessed first-hand MIT’s intimate involvement in the discrediting of the two scientists.  He resigned in disgust, and later wrote this angry and very detailed report on the deliberate organised campaign by MIT ‘hot fusion’ advocates. Mallove was tragically murdered in 2004
